Victor AD went full dance mode on “Olofofo”, and his fans followed him straight to the dance floor.
The single came out in May 2021 and later became track four on his six-song EP Nothing To Prove, released that July. On Audiomack alone it has crossed 21 million plays, a big number for a song that runs barely three minutes.
It also shows a different side of the man behind heavier records like “Wetin We Gain” and “Simple Life”. Here the mood is lighter and made for parties.

Who exactly is the “Olofofo”?
In Yoruba, an olofofo is a gossip, the person who carries your matter from one house to another. Victor AD points the song at that kind of person, with chants about not fearing their talk and not wasting time replying to it.
Afrocritik’s review of the EP noted that “Olofofo” was crafted to be the club banger of this EP, adding that the production is “marinated in Amapiano, with an infectious rhythm.” The beat came from Kulboy, who produced four of the six songs on the EP.
