Artist: Nathaniel Oruma
Song: Oghogho
Genre: Urhobo Highlife
Duration: 22:37
Prince Nathaniel Oruma put a batch of official videos on his own YouTube channel about four years ago, and “Oghogho” is one of the longest in that set, at more than twenty-two minutes.
The title is a word every Urhobo home knows. Oghogho means joy, and it is also a much-loved name for children, so it is a fitting banner for a long highlife groove.
If you have enjoyed “Egha” or “Ovie” here, this one comes from the same official channel. We did not find it among his Audiomack albums, New Dimension Vol II and Oghene Biko, so the video is the official way in.
Settle down with a cold drink, press play on the video below and let the band do the rest.
