Artist: Erigga
Song: Vawulence
Album: The Lost Boy
Say “vawulence” anywhere in Naija and people will laugh, because everybody knows the word. Erigga took that street slang and turned it into a full song.
The Warri rapper dropped it in August 2022, and NotJustOk reported it as his second release of that year, lifted ahead of his album The Lost Boy. The song then took its place on that project when the album landed a few weeks later.
It came out years before “Pot of Stew”, and it still shows why fans love the Paper Boi.

Why “Vawulence” hits so hard
When The Native picked its standout tracks from The Lost Boy, it called this one “a drill anthem packed with caustic one-liners”. The writer noted that across three verses Erigga openly turns his back on peaceful thoughts towards his haters, and said the song was ready-made for memes and for moshing. That is exactly the energy the title promises.
