Nollywood actor Ricardo Agbor escaped a frightening car crash in Ibadan. See what he said, how bad his Lexus looks, and how his colleagues are reacting.
Ricardo Agbor is safe, and that’s the part that matters most. The Nollywood actor survived a car crash in Ibadan, and the video of his Lexus SUV will make you wince.
He posted it on Instagram on Saturday, filming the wreck from what looked like the scene. The silver SUV sat right in front of the Cornerstone City billboard. “This is my vehicle in front of Cornerstone City, Ibadan,” he said.
Pretty bad. The front of the car took the worst of it. The bonnet is crushed, the grille is smashed, parts of the engine are showing, and the front-left tyre is damaged too.
You can tell he’s shaken. He keeps thanking Jesus Christ for keeping him alive, and at one point he says, “This is what just happened to me now.” In his caption, he also said he’s grateful to have made it out alive.
Quite a lot, actually. Agbor hasn’t said what caused the crash or whether another vehicle was involved. He hasn’t said if he was hurt, and there’s no update on how he’s doing yet. So for now, fans are just waiting.
The comment section filled up almost immediately. Sotayo Gaga, Tijani Adekola, Adeniyi Johnson, Fausat Balogun, Toyosi Adesanya and Kevin Ikeduba all left prayers and messages thanking God for his life.
If you’ve followed Nollywood for a while, you know the name. Agbor was born in Lagos in February 1973 and is from Delta State. He studied Mass Communication at the University of Ibadan, the same city where this scare happened.
He started acting in 1992 after working as a model, and Visa to Hell pushed him into the spotlight. Three decades on, he’s still working, moving easily between English and Yoruba films.
Cars can be fixed or replaced, but people can’t. Agbor is alive to tell the story, and that’s what everyone’s holding onto. Let’s hope he shares an update soon.
