News of her passing came from fellow actress Kemity, who broke it in a heartbreaking Instagram post on Sunday night. “Everybody is back home; we left only you,” she wrote, and honestly, that line hits different when you think about what Nimmy was actually coming home to celebrate. Her younger sister later confirmed the death, putting an end to the confusion that usually follows this kind of news online.
As for what actually happened, nobody’s said officially. There’s talk making the rounds that it might be connected to complications from a fibroid surgery, but her family hasn’t confirmed anything, and no hospital or official source has spoken on it either. So for now, that’s just speculation, not fact.

She had roles in projects like World Famous, Olowosile, Omo Agba, Iran Keta, Awari Ogo and Orisa Para, and outside of acting, she ran her own outfit, Nimmy Ferrari Productions. She was also big on social media and YouTube, the kind of young creative who was clearly just getting started.
There’s something extra heavy about the timing of this one for Nollywood. Just weeks earlier, Nimmy had paid tribute to veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, Ogogo, after his death in August. Now her colleagues are back in mourning clothes, barely recovered from one loss before facing another.
