Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has been denied bail by a court in Ogun State following his arraignment over multiple criminal charges.
Portable was brought before the Federal High Court sitting in Ota, Ogun State, where he faced nine criminal counts, including assault, theft, and resisting arrest. According to court proceedings, the charges stem from incidents involving alleged violent conduct and the reported theft of a vehicle.
During the hearing, the court refused the singer’s bail application, citing the nature of the allegations and the need for proper legal process to take its course. The judge subsequently ordered that Portable be remanded in custody pending further hearing.
The court fixed January 19 as the next date for continuation of the case.
