Gospel minister Olayemi Bolaji, popularly called Toluwanisings, has died. Here’s what his family said and what’s being reported about his final hours.
Sad news from the gospel music world today. Minister Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, better known as Toluwanisings, has died.
His family confirmed it on his official TikTok page. They said he passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Reports had already started going around online, so a lot of people were hoping it wasn’t true.
Sadly, it was.
In their statement, the family remembered him as a dearly loved husband, family member and gospel minister. They also mentioned his ministry, Toluwani Gospel Music Ministry (TOGOMM).
Then came their one request. They asked people to “keep his wife, family, and loved ones in your prayers.” Burial plans will be shared later.
What they didn’t share is what caused his death.
Celebrity journalist Seun Oloketuyi, who founded the Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards, shared his own version of what happened. According to him, the singer slumped on a staircase. The people around him rushed him from one hospital to another, looking for help.
He claimed two hospitals turned Bolaji away. A third one finally admitted him, and that’s where he was pronounced dead.
If that’s true, it’s painful to even read. But the family hasn’t confirmed any of it, so for now it’s a claim and nothing more.
Toluwanisings was a fast-rising gospel singer. His career was moving in the right direction, and that’s what makes this so hard to process. One moment you’re building something, and the next you’re gone.
He leaves behind a wife who is now grieving. Those closest to him are probably still trying to take it all in.
For now, the family’s request is simple: prayers for his wife and loved ones. More details on the burial should come in the days ahead.
