Some love songs refuse to leave the playlist, and “Ariva” is one of them. The Igbo highlife star released it in mid 2019 as a solo comeback, and it still lives on his official Audiomack page today.
At heart, this is a love ballad. Flavour sings to the woman who has his heart, praising the beauty and charm of the African woman. He mixes his native tongue with English, Pidgin and a few French phrases, the kind of sweet talk that can make anybody blush.
Spellz gave the track a drum heavy, neo highlife feel that suits Flavour’s smooth voice. The official video, directed by Meji Alabi, keeps things simple, with just Flavour and his muse in a vintage styled setting.
