Gift Oghenekevwe Gbemor, popularly known by his stage name O’fresh, has issued a strong statement distancing himself from the ongoing controversies in Delta State’s entertainment industry.
The musician, songwriter, and performing artist, who was born in Delta State but now resides in the United States, made it clear in a Facebook Post that he does not want to be dragged into entertainment politics or associational disputes back home.
“I’m Not Part of Any Association or Cult”
In his words, O’fresh emphasized that he is not affiliated with any entertainment association or cult group in Delta State. Instead, he likened himself to stars such as Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy who built their brands independently.
“I’m an artist in my own right trying to push my music to all corners of the world,” he wrote,
Urging those sending him messages about entertainment leadership issues in Delta State to stay away from his inbox and timeline.

Respect for the Governor’s Decisions
O’fresh also showed respect to the Delta State Governor’s appointments in the entertainment sector, stating that whoever has been chosen to lead must have the Governor’s confidence.
“If the Governor has appointed some persons to head the Entertainment industry in my home state, that means the Governor believes in their capacity and views,” he explained.
He further advised entertainers in Delta State to work hand-in-hand with the appointed leaders to grow the industry locally.
Focused on His Global Career
Making it clear that his focus remains on music and international recognition, O’fresh urged fellow entertainers back home to collaborate and support the structures in place rather than dragging him into controversies.
With his growing influence in the US, O’fresh is determined to build his career without distractions from home-based politics.
