Outspoken social media critic and activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has launched a blistering verbal attack on the former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose.
The controversy erupted following comments made by the ex-governor regarding the tense security situation in Nigeria, specifically referencing a recent, highly publicized security incident involving students and teachers in Oyo State.
In a video that has fast gone viral across multiple social media platforms, VeryDarkMan heavily criticized the veteran politician, accusing him of gaslighting the public, downplaying the severe reality of Nigeria’s systemic insecurity, and actively trying to shield the federal administration under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from accountability.

The friction between the two public figures began after Fayose suggested during a public engagement that the recent security breach affecting educators and schoolchildren in Oyo State was not an organic crisis. Instead, the former governor insinuated that the tragedy was a calculated, politically motivated setup engineered directly by the Oyo State government.
According to Fayose’s logic, the local incident was deliberately orchestrated as a political chess move designed to embarrass and blackmail the Tinubu-led Federal Government on the national stage.
