Before many people outside Delta knew his name, D’Frankie was already putting his Isoko roots into his music, and “Prosper” is a good example of that.
He released the single in October 2020 as a signee of EverRise Records. The official notes on his Audiomack page describe it as a well-produced song with a positive message, and point out that he sings in his mother tongue, Isoko.
By then he had already performed at One Africa Music Fest in 2019 and at Afronation in Accra. Later releases like “Ọmọte” kept that same pride in Isoko language over Afro sounds.
