Warri’s own Erigga has never been shy about telling street stories, and “PTSD” is one of the heaviest in his catalogue. It sits on The Lost Boy, the album that came three years after The Erigma II.
Rapper ODUMODUBLVCK joins him on the track, and The Native’s review of the album named it one of the record’s standout songs.
If you are just catching up with the Paper Boi, start here and then run back to “Family Time” with Victor AD and Zlatan.

The scars behind Erigga’s “PTSD”
According to The Native, “PTSD” opens the most vulnerable stretch of The Lost Boy. Erigga looks back on the gun violence that was common where he grew up, including a killing that was poorly investigated.
In his second verse he talks about the bad habits he picked up from older men he looked up to in the neighbourhood, and admits that those years left him scarred. The title says it plainly: these are memories that never really leave.
