Isoko North Reviews Restriction on Shops, Okada, and Keke Operations

Isoko North Local Government Chairman

Isoko North Local Government has announced a review of its restrictions on commercial activities and vehicular movement within the area. The decision was made during an emergency peace and security meeting held on February 25, 2025.

New Restriction Timings

Effective immediately, the restriction on Okada (motorcycles) and Keke (tricycles) operations remains from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Meanwhile, shops, markets, restaurants, beer parlors, and eateries must close by 9:00 PM. However, cars and other large vehicles are exempt from these restrictions.

Extended Deadline for Vehicle Registration

The security committee has also extended the registration deadline for all unregistered vehicles to March 30, 2025. This extension is due to the current scarcity of plate numbers, allowing vehicle owners more time to comply with the regulation.

Strict Compliance Required

The local government urges all residents and business owners to adhere strictly to these revised guidelines to ensure peace and security in the area.
