Two big Nigerian names are back in the Grammy conversation. Asake and Seun Kuti have sent in six entries for the 2027 Grammys, and both want a place in the Best African Music Performance category.

Quick reality check, though. Submitting isn’t the same as getting nominated. It’s just the first step, but it’s still exciting to see.

He entered four works and spread them across several categories.

His album, M$NEY, is up for Album of the Year and Best Global Music Album. Then there’s Gratitude, which is going for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best African Music Performance. That’s a lot of big doors to knock on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
