Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde just received two social impact honours, and the reason is her film, Mother’s Love. She didn’t pocket her share of the money from it. She gave all of it away.

Every naira she earned as a producer went to the education of children from underserved communities. Makoko is one of them, and it’s also one of the places featured in the film.
Two awards, one first<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The honours came from the Israel Tribune and 90210 Enterprise. She got a Social Impact Award and a Lifetime Social Impact recognition. Here’s the interesting part. It was the first time the two groups had joined hands to recognise anyone.

What stands out is that Omotola never framed the donation as a big public moment. She talked about it like a simple decision. She called it an “Act of Obedience”, and she admitted she had no idea how many people the story would reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In her words, “Our little Act of Obedience has continued to be an inspiration even to me.”
