The singer just let her fans know she’s been dealing with something serious behind the scenes, a major surgery, and a recovery that hasn’t gone as smoothly as she hoped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She shared the news herself, straight to her fans, the ones she calls “Mobstar.”<\/em> No fancy press release, just her being honest on her Instagram story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I’m sorry you’re not seeing as much of me as I would like. I had major surgery a few days ago,” <\/em>she wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That alone is enough to make anyone pause. She didn’t say what the surgery was for, and honestly, that’s her business to keep private. But she did open up about how tough the healing process has been.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I was hoping it would be a quick recovery but it was more complicated than they expected,”<\/em> she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One can’t only imagine going into something expecting a fast bounce-back, and then your body just… doesn’t cooperate. That’s frustrating for anyone, let alone someone whose life is built around performing, traveling, and staying constantly visible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just days before this, Ayra Starr was buzzing with excitement about her first-ever movie role, in the big fantasy film Children of Blood and Bone. She was on a high, stepping into Hollywood, and now suddenly she’s telling everyone she needs to slow down and heal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What stood out most in her message wasn’t the surgery part. It was how she reassured everyone that she’s coming back, and that she hasn’t lost her spark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I just need a bit of rest and I’ll be back!!!. Starrgirl is coming so soooon, I need everyone out there spreading the word, tell your friends, your family, your neighbours!!! Order Starrgirl asap!!! Love you guys.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
