Here&#8217;s every confirmed song, feature and rumour before the Afrobeats star&#8217;s biggest release yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ayra Starr fans have circled a new date on their calendars. The Mavin Records star will drop her third studio album, Starr Girl, on August 14, and the anticipation building around it feels different this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s her first full body of work since 2024&#8217;s The Year I Turned 21, and if early signs are anything to go by, this project is shaping up to be one of the biggest Afrobeats releases of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Starr first let the news slip during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show back in April, where she revealed the album&#8217;s title and initially teased a July rollout. That date has since shifted to August 14, and the shift came with a reveal fans didn&#8217;t see coming: the official cover art, dropped across her socials and Roc Nation&#8217;s website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/i\/status\/2044802672318910523\">Watch here<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/x.com\/i\/status\/2044802672318910523\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The artwork itself carries meaning. Shot by Paris-based photographer Axle Jozeph, who also worked on her 2025 single &#8220;All the Love,&#8221;&nbsp; the image shows Starr in a purple gele, a quiet but deliberate tribute to her Nigerian heritage. Oyinkan Adeshoye produced the shoot, with creative direction from Peter Famosa, Richie Igunma and Ola Badmus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her first two albums followed a tight concept, each tied to a specific age and chapter of her life. Starr Girl breaks that mould. Starr has described it as a wider, freer creative statement, one built around &#8220;existing in multitudes,&#8221; and fans should expect a genre-blending mix of Afrobeats, R&amp;B and dancehall-tinged pop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/isokovibe.com.ng\/blog\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/starr_girl_cover4754961500793436781.jpg\" alt=\"starr_girl_cover4754961500793436781\" class=\"wp-image-8971\" srcset=\"https:\/\/isokovibe.com.ng\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/starr_girl_cover4754961500793436781.jpg 250w, https:\/\/isokovibe.com.ng\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/starr_girl_cover4754961500793436781-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Starr Girl album cover<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Four tracks have been officially locked in. &#8220;Gimme Dat,&#8221; her Grammy-nominated link-up with Wizkid, landed in April 2025. &#8220;Who&#8217;s Dat Girl&#8221; marked her first collaboration with Rema in October 2025. &#8220;Where Do We Go&#8221; followed in March 2026. Most recently came &#8220;Tornado&#8221; in June, a Latin-percussion-driven cut produced by Skillies, Shizzi and RiotUSA, first previewed live at her NPR Tiny Desk set. Beyond these four, no official tracklist has dropped yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/i\/status\/2081180705044770905\">See more<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A live radio session on July 29 gave fans two more names to watch: &#8220;Misunderstood&#8221; and &#8220;Ms. Paper,&#8221; the latter reportedly featuring artist Theodora. Neither has been confirmed by Mavin or Roc Nation, so treat both as rumour for now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wizkid and Rema remain the only locked-in features.
