Two years after John \u201cMr Ibu\u201d Okafor\u2019s death, his widow and children are facing severe hardship, no electricity, unpaid rent, and interrupted education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two years after the nation mourned John \u201cMr Ibu\u201d Okafor, the laughter his films brought has been replaced by a quiet struggle at home. His widow and youngest children now say they are battling basic needs, the most urgent being electricity, water and school fees and have appealed for help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a video by content creator Mitchel Ihueze, popularly called King Mitchy, that brought the situation to public attention. She visited the family and did not hold back, she showed Nigerians exactly what was going on behind closed doors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


According to her, Mr Ibu’s 14-year-old daughter and his two younger sons, aged 12 and 10, had all been pulled out of school because the family simply could not cover their school fees. She also revealed that the household had gone without electricity and clean water for about two weeks at the time of her visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
